Each week, my friend and fellow blogger, Jill Dennison adds a post to her Jolly Mondays series on Filosofa’s Word. These weekly posts are her latest collection of memes, cartoons, and an encouraging animal video.
While enjoying this week’s Jolly Monday, it hit me. “I create files that could (loosely) be considered memes. I’ve learned that when I want to express my (usually political) opinion on Facebook, BlueSky, and/or X,[1] larger than normal text on a contrasting background gets more attention than a simple text post … and, limiting the space available helps me to focus on my main concern. So, I create a roughly 800×800 pixel JPG file and post that.
Although some of my sarcasm or small attempts at humor slip in now and then, my memes are efforts to express “My Less Than Humble Opinion” in the hit-and-run environment of social media, Think of them as mini-posts. They span time from December 1, 2021 through the present and are shown here in the order I created them. I’ve noted the date that each file was posted.[2]
Ready or not, here we go.

Yes, I still have my account on “the site formerly known as Twitter”. It was a good place to take shots at Trump and Musk. Now that they’re fighting each other, I don’t bother with it much, but keep it just in case I decide it’s useful again.

Dates seem to help those who choose to live exclusively in linear time. π€ I wouldn’t know. Keeping track of the arrow of time requires more focus than I want to bother with. π₯± Besides, I might miss something. π

I don’t need a special day. I love my π every day. πΈ
