A Letter to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson

I tried to send the following message to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Because I am not in his congressional district, his website would not accept it. I forwarded the message to my Representative and both of my Senators asking them to forward it to the Speaker, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and as many members of the House and Senate as possible.

Mr. Speaker:

You cannot allow President Trump to turn his back on Ukraine nor allow him to attack NATO and our closest allies. You and everyone else in the House and Senate swore an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” and to “bear true faith and allegiance to the same”. President Trump has attacked the 1st, 4th and 14th amendments. He has ignored Articles I, III, and IV. He has violated so many parts of our body of law that most of us can no longer keep track. He has declared himself King. This is not “just Trump being Trump”. It is an open attempt to overthrow the Constitution and the Rule of Law. You and ALL members of the House and Senate must stop him. If Impeachment and Conviction in the Senate are the only way to stop him, so be it. Nixon resigned when his own party challenged his illegal behavior. Trump will not. If you find that Vice President Vance is part of the conspiracy, impeach him too. You’d be a better President than either of them … and a vast majority of The People would be behind you. Unlike Trump and his V.P., you are a man of honor.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent message.

  1. Good letter, Terry! And I agree with almost everything you say, but I’m not so sure that Speaker Johnson is actually a man of honour. He’s blown a few chances to prove it, but there can be no doubt that he’s closer to a man of honour than either Felon Trump or Puppet Vance!
