Short Posts for Social Media

As I mentioned in my July 2025 article entitled “Meme Too!“, I create meme-like mini-posts from time to time and post them on one or more of my social media accounts. Most of these “posts” express my less than humble opinions about what our “beloved”[1] President and his Administration are up to at particular points in time. A few reflect a touch of whimsy to lighten the load in stressful times.

Enough introduction! Here are my mini-posts …

If you have any comments or additional ideas, I encourage you to leave a reply in the comments section at the end of the article.

If you choose to subscribe to this website, the only “junk mail” you will receive is a note whenever I post a new article. I do not have any advertisers. I want to be free to express “my less than humble opinion” whenever and however I choose.

For the benefit of die-hard members of Trump’s Cult of Personality and other ignoramuses, the quotes around the word “beloved” are intended to indicate that I’m using the word sarcastically,

The date is not a mistake. Apparently, I was more cranky than usual on that day … and, as you’ll see, through most of August 2025

This one was mostly just for fun, As I recall, the most recent Superman movie was in the entertainment news at about the same time that Trump’s venture into Crypto Currency was in the financial and political news.

If you recognized the picture of the Kent State shooting in the preceding two mini-posts, you may recognize Chevy Chase and Gilda Radner as members of “The Not Ready for Primetime Players” in the early days of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live”. Chevy was the original host of the “Weekend Update” skit. Gilda played Emily LaTella, a recurring guest commentator on the parody news segment. The joke was that Emily was always confused about the subject of her editorial … and it was always a pun. (The actual one that I recall was Emily asking, “What’s wrong with Sax and Violins in TV and Movies?” Chevy’s response was, “Emily, that’s sex and violence; not sax and violins.”)

Krypto is Superman’s dog and is also a survivor of the explosion of his birth world, Krypton.

Whatever your beliefs … whatever your traditions … whatever holidays you celebrate … whether they be of ancient or recent origin, if they celebrate the positive qualities of humanity … if they bring people together for the good of all, my cat and I wish you the very best for you and yours, These are the most basic commonalties that make all 8 and a quarter plus billion of us one family sharing one home that has more than enough resources to sustain us all when we take care of each other.

This one may look familiar. It’s a variant of an entry in “Meme Too!” from June 14, 2025. I added “Not Ever ! ! !” for the second (or maybe third) nationwide rally.

This one relates to James Comey’s post of a picture of seashells on the beach that someone had arranged to form the numbers 86 and 47. Comey was indicted for “threatening the President’s life. At best it implies the sentence, “Remove President Trump from office”.

There’s only one kind of person who would consider the slang term “86” to be a threat of murder … a gangster.

This is my attempt to replicate a large banner that has been displayed at the First Parish Church of Sudbury, MA. It faces diagonally at the town center in order to be visible from each of the roads that cross there.

It makes a very important point! Democracy is not guaranteed. It is not a gift. It is not just an ideal. IT IS WHAT WE DO!

In the November Midterm Elections, We the People … every eligible voter … must perform the most important part of the verb Democracy. We must exercise our right to Vote.

If you need more clarification about this disorder … or, if you don’t like medical names containing numbers and hyphens (e.g., COVID-19), try this:

  • Change the digits 1 and 0 to I and O.

  • Remove the hyphens.

If you still don’t understand the danger of the disorder … especially in our elected officials …, you may have ID-10-T yourself. I suggest you contact a medical professional (or a teacher) immediately.
